Fellow Indians,

They are coming and they aren’t pretty. They are cheap, dangerous and invisible. If this doesn’t scare you, it should.

If you are still wondering “..what?”, here is the gist: drones are fascinating - they capture wedding videos, build maps and deliver packages (..not yet?) but their dark side is for all to see in the Ukraine-Russia and Hamas-Israel conflicts. Small, cheap drones are reshaping conflicts across the world. Most people don’t realize that warfare has changed. Forever.
‍
Aircrafts don’t command the superior power they once did because anti-aircraft missiles have become better and cheaper. Drones, hundreds and thousands of them, are the new, more affordable, more destructive air power. Nations are scrambling to fight this invisible enemy.

And no, it’s not hypothetical anymore. It’s here, for real. And we are NOT ready.

What makes them so dangerous?

‍
Disproportionate outcomes: A ₹20,000 drone can destroy tanks or aircrafts worth crores.

Invisible: Small drones go undetected by existing radars designed for larger conventional threats like aircrafts and missiles.
‍
Expensive counter-measures: Even if spotted, firing missiles worth crores at cheap drones is a losing proposition.
‍
No risk: Drones deliver substantial damage with virtually no risk. In fact, gamers are the new warriors now. They have played a pivotal role in the Ukraine-Russia war on both sides.

What’s Armory doing about this?

16 years ago, as a founding team member of ideaForge, I played my part in building indigenous drones and enabling our forces to get eyes in the sky. Having spent considerable time in several border areas, I’ve seen firsthand how critical drones are to safeguarding our skies and borders.
‍
However, with the rise of drones, the menace of rogue drones has skyrocketed. Our neighbors routinely send drones across the border carrying drugs, money, arms and explosives. There were over 400 reported incursions last year, you can imagine the unreported ones.

Last year, I decided to go all-in and founded Armory to build technology and products that defend our nation against modern threats. Our first line of products is Al-enabled counter drone systems that detect, defend and destroy rogue drones.

We have made incredible breakthroughs in a short period of time. We’re pushing hard because the threats won’t wait - drones are getting smarter and cheaper by the day.

What can you do about it?

If this fills you with a sense of fear, duty and excitement - all at once, come work with us. While I can’t promise the perks of your current organization, I can promise you great challenges, an amazing team to work with and an adventure that you’ll tell your grandkids. It’s not a job, it’s your contribution to defending our nation.

It’s an opportunity to play a part in India’s self-reliance revolution that will be seen as a defining period in the decades to come. Let’s build great products in India, for the world!

We need radar experts, AI/ML specialists, mechanical, software, DSP engineers and electronics wizards. If you have deep knowledge in your area of expertise with curiosity, rigor, and a sense of urgency - apply here now. And when you reach out, be authentic. No marketing or salesy jargon, no ChatGPT written applications. This is your chance to do the best work of your life.

As a founder, my role is to build a winning championship team. That means you need to know your domain inside and out. If you don’t yet, level up until we can’t ignore you.
‍
Drivers only, no passengers in our team.

Remember, they are coming in swarms - we better be ready!
